Weight Loss Mistakes You Must Avoid
If you are struggling to lose weight you may have to avoid common weight loss mistakes to keep you on track with your weight loss journey.

1. Be Patient
It’s important for you to not compare yourself with anyone else. Celebrate your victories and do not despair when the weight does not budge. Just keep on going.
2. Get Some Sleep
Your hormones and appetite is directly linked to sleep. Make sure you are getting 8 hours of sleep per night.
3. Reduce Stress
Stress plays a large part to weight gain. Pick your favorite method that relaxes you i.e. read, go for a walk, stretch, mediate or take a yoga class.
4. Change Your Routine
If you are inactive. You can start by changing your routine. Take short walks even 10 minutes daily by parking your car a little further from work.
5. Keep It Balanced
Try to keep your meals balanced and varied. Do not rely too heavily on any one food and/or food groups for your nutrition.
6. Failure To Plan
When do we reach for convenience food? When we have not planned ahead. Decide before you go grocery shopping what you will purchase. Plan meals and snacks. Keep healthy options on-hand.
7. Do Not Use Exercise As An Excuse
Exercise and a balanced diet should go hand in hand. Do not think you can simply exercise harder when you eat badly. You can’t spot reduce and your diet greatly determines your health.
8. Track It
Keep track of all the foods you eat for 14 days. This will allow you to see what you are eating and also create good habits as you improve your food selection.
9. Do Not Count
Do NOT count calories. Just focus on increasing natural and healthy foods i.e. vegetables, fruits and whole grains to your diet.
10. Not Having A Daily Treat
One of the biggest mistakes is not treating yourself. Each day, give yourself a small treat. Doing this will satisfy your cravings for certain foods while keeping you on track.
